Decorative vinyl fence installation covers vinyl fencing with added ornamental elements – scalloped tops, lattice accents, post caps, color options, or other design details that go beyond a standard flat-top privacy or picket style. This is about combining vinyl's low-maintenance practicality with a more custom, upscale appearance for properties where curb appeal matters as much as function.
This is worth considering if you want your fence to be a visual feature of the property, not just a functional boundary, if you're fencing the front of a home where appearance is more visible and matters more than a purely functional backyard fence, or if you want to add character to an otherwise standard vinyl installation with details like lattice tops, decorative post caps, or color accents that most basic vinyl fencing doesn't include.
We start with a design conversation to understand what decorative elements you're interested in, since vinyl fencing today comes in a wide range of styles beyond the basic solid panel – scalloped or arched tops, lattice sections, contrasting trim colors, and various post cap styles. Once the design is set, installation follows the standard vinyl process – posts set in concrete at proper intervals, panels installed level across the property, with the decorative elements incorporated as part of each section rather than added on afterward. We make sure any decorative details are consistent across the full fence line so the finished look is cohesive, not just applied to a few sections.
Cost depends on which decorative elements you choose, since ornamental tops, lattice sections, and premium color options typically cost more than a standard flat-top panel, along with the usual factors of linear footage and site conditions. Properties in Lompoc, CA looking for a distinctive, higher-end look often find the added cost of decorative elements worthwhile for the curb appeal difference.
